Actually its not too bad.. Its all about wave length.. I crossed the English Channel twice week before last, Never below Force 8 Short Chop because its shallow with a running ground swell..
Bay of Biscay same conditions huge waves down to Santander.. No way..
Those boats are brilliantly constructed, and designed to operate in those extreme conditions as most Pilot Boats are.. Well handled too..Would I be on one.. Don t think so..

Cricky David. Are you expecting some bad weather up the Hamble?

Do you know something we don't about the summer in the Itchen?

You could always relocate to Sant Carles. :encouragement:

Hi Peter. The bit of kit for some proper boating. I saw one of these a few years ago at Seaworks and fell in love with it then. A serious bit of kit! The other boat I would've and had my eye on one that was in the Hamble for a number of years would be a Lochin 33.

I love to have a go in those conditions, a real adrenaline rush.

Its a shame that Safehaven don't seem to build models for the pleasure boat market because I'm sure there are a few discerning buyers out there who would be willing to pay for this kind of seakeeping with a more luxurious finish

Filmed outside Cork, Ireland. It can get nasty there alright with plenty of Atlantic fetch meeting the ebb.
Check builders website ;)
