Ive been down to Hampton court on both days this weekend to watch the Olympic cycling road races and the prime mooring spot to view it has been taken over by four boats , three without a licence on show .
I was quite suprised to see them there for the mens race given security issues and the EA patrol boat passing us licence payers very closely with a police officer on board but going down for the second day to see them still there with no one around to ask if i can moor along side has really hacked me off !
These things dont normally annoy me but having paid extra council tax for the last five years to support the Olympics and then increased licence fees and mooring fees it has .
I wonder if they will still be there for the time trials on Wednesday

paint the olympic logos on the side of the hull in the dead of night, and the logo nasties (sp ???) will be on to them in the morning ;)

I agree, whenever looking over the bridge or passing by, the only time you see this area clear of itinerants is when the river levels are high. Then again, did you take a look at the security? That's an even more worrying concept, not sure the meaning of security would come anywhere near to what I saw.

Still there again today although one had left . The EA launch came over to question why i had moored up after the bridge ( fair enough ) a bit odd though as they have past my boat for the last ten years or so on thier way out on patrol . I mentioned i wanted to get on the public mooring and was told that i had no chance as there are to many people "passing through "
They must be walking through as thier boats have been there for the last five days as far as i have seen .

There's been a number of boats moored just a bit further up river at Hampton on public moorings for over a year now, none look like they have licenses/insurance/BSC certs. Notified the EA as wanted to moor and couldn't, no reply, not even a 'thanks we're delaing with it'

What's the point of paying the license fee!
