I'm sure a few of you on here followed my major attempts to get onto the water to achieve a goal for my dad.

Well after a year of getting our farline sedan fixed up, on the water with all of the 'fun and games' of keeping it right.

Today we finally accepted an offer on her so hopefully in the final straight of selling her on.

I'll be sticking with our 16ft craft with outboard until a day I can afford to get back into the 'big boy boat' league again.

So once again thanks to all who helped me achieve a lot in a short space of time

Good luck with the sale, and I look forward to hearing more of your boating exploits.

Ive already set my own goal to try and save up some cash for a 21-23ft boat I can trailer or have a weekend on. Just a matter of a bank balance to make it happen.

Sad to see her go but was the only option. Kind of nice to get the ball rolling before new year as well

Many Fairline Sedans are frankly a bit 'high maintenance' even by Boat standards, with ageing Volvo Petrols, Outdrives and leaky windows among other things.

Don't be too disheartened. Get a decent Broom 30 and see how cheap an old boat can be to run if you like polishing a lot!!
