I O W liveaboards/moorings

Can anyone help me out here please ?
I remember finding a mooring advertised where liveaboards were welcome in WOOTTON CREEK ISLE OF WIGHT.
Have googled etc and cannot find it now...anyone know the one or have info on any others where price is reasonable and place is friendly ?

Most of the moorings in Wootton Creek are privately owned. There are livaboards alongside in Newport Harbour and on piles in Cowes - contact the respective HM's. There is also Odessa Marine in Newport which is a working boatyard with a few liveaboards, spaces tend to be dependent on the type of boat you have and how long you want a berth for. Prices are reasonable I believe and it is friendly if you "fit in".

Hi Ljaj,

We live onboard , River Medina twix East Cowes Marina and the Folly Inn during the Summer and in East Cowes Marina for the winter.
Extreamly friendly, reasonably priced and ok services.

Our Pontoon mooring is £1,200 for the year, we are 45'. No walk ashore or power or water but we are in the middle of the river , quiet and peacfull.

Dependant upon your vessel, there are some shallower moorings just South of the Folly Inn. These are usually between piles and are run my Newport Harbour Office. Contact the Harbour Master on 01983 525 - 994, these are much cheaper that the deepwater mooring run by cowes.
