Last year, I got in about two days worth of sailing - after one day, we broke the boat, and then a couple of months later, we tried for the next day, after which I ruptured my ankle. This year's shake down sail revealed electrical and engine troubles.
Harumph.
But the tide has turned: we just returned from a week on board - we've had picturesque anchorages, a force 4 broad reach, surfing, dolphins in the wake, beautiful anchorages, seals greeting the dinghy, warm weather, and everything sailing ought to be.
I think I may have sold the boat if things hadn't gone right.
