I would like to get the ICC in the course of the next month or so.

Does the esteemed panel have any recommendations on suitable schools? Solent area preferred.

If it helps, been in and on boats for over 40 yrs, did YM theory about 18 yrs ago, but never bothered to do practical. Hold First Aid cert, VHF DSC ticket, PB 2 and Safety Boat Cert. Was RYA dinghy Senior Instructor about 30 yrs ago ( so not a complete novice ) smileywithawink.

If you still have a valid dinghy instructors cert and it is a sailing yacht you are talking about, you don't need to take the test. You just have to send in the form with that and your PB2 cert.
If not, then I'm sure you'll have no problems with your experience.

Thanks for the post. I am afraid the dinghy certs prolly expired c20 years ago....... My PB2 cert only covers up to 10metres, so I doubt it will fit the bill. slightlygloomysmiley

It's always worth asking them if you have the certs. I don't think they have an expeiry date on them (unlike the ICC) your PB2 on its own will as u say only cover you for up to 10 metres, but when combined with your dinghy instructor will cover you for sail up to 24metres..Good luck anyhow.. it's a very straightforward test.
