Not the most accomplished sailor (yet) but I certainly would like to be. I' ve spent the last year or so trying to find someone to take me under their wing, show me the "ropes" and give me the knowledge and confidence that I'm searching for. I have had some experience as a club sailor, cruiser, crew bank and owned for a season but found out Canada is the wrong place to own a sailboat. I've learned with each experience but I'm just not getting the "real deal" yet. Cruised Greece, BVI's and Lake Ontario. I really do not want to die on the couch. I have basic navigation, Canadian Yachting Assn. Intermediate level and a real desire to learn. I dont need Capt. Ahab but I do take direction well and I am nothing if not honest. Still working but nearing retirement. Relatively fit and prepared to spend a month or so aboard, preferably in the Med. If you can help or know anyone who could use a hand, I would appreciate any and all advice. I enjoy good wine, jazz, travel an have an appreciation for other cultures.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.
