I Need Some Advice on Fishers

Can anyone advise me on what kind of speed I can expect to get with a Fisher 35 under engine. Working on the 1.5 X the square route of the waterline theory (waterline lenth being 30ft) would mean 8.2Kts, but I find this hard to believe.

I would be glad of some advice.

Yes it will. There used to be one about that size in a hire fleet I was involved with and it would certainly would show eight knots on the three cylinder yanmar.
However, it was rather tired engine and if kept at that speed for any length of time would smoke badly.

8.2 knots is a bit optimistic. I would think you are looking at around 6½ knots cruising maybe 7½ knots flat out downhill.

First, no such thing as a Fisher 35. It must be a 34. They also do a 25, 30 (obsolete) 31, 37 and 46.

To calc hull speed use square root of waterline length x 1.2

They will cruise at about 5.75 knots tho sea conditions are crucial as they have fairly broad bows and they need to be pushed. Due to their weight they will sustain excellent momentum, so what speed you lose with the bows you gain with the weight.
