Hi All,

I am looking as a first time buyer at something like a Azimut 43,

As a first time boat buyer I'm looking for help with what the costs
are in terms of fuel, maintenance, do I need a skipper? What are the
monthly average outgoings?

I also would like some berth space over the summer in the Balearics, Ibiza and Mallorca mainly.

Any information provided would be much appreciated,

Andrew

There is a very rough rule of thumb that the annual running costs of a boat represent about 10% of its cost. This will vary depending on where you keep the boat as mooring costs are a significant element.

Hi
dont know much re running costs, but look at thread (buying a boat) User compadre.
One of his replies warns of shortage of berths in the med.

Cheers

I agree with about 10%. We've purchased 2 years ago a Nicholson 39, great boat, and the costs, marina, hardstanding, insurance etc etc etc etc works out at about £500 a month
