I need a new tiller for my Fox Terrier 22 - the old one has delaminated beyond hope /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif I really should make a new one myself, but lack the time to do this (I'm currently in Kabul, and the boat is in Europe). Can anyone please suggest a manufacturer of "made to measure" tillers? Thanks

Tony McKillican made a laminated one for me, I'm very pleased with it. His phone number is 01785 284949. I think he has a site at www. tonymackillican.co.uk

Don't know what the situation is where you have the boat, but here in Belgium are a number of "restoration boatyards", which are part of an scheme training for immigrant and hard-to-employ youngsters . They are happy to have "small, but skilled jobs" to assign to some of these. I had one made for my old boat, nicely laminated and curved, and the grip fitted to my hand. I was charged 65 pounds, but payed 75, as it was superb.
Might be an idea ...

All, thanks very much. FYI, his website doesn't work -but I will try Tony Mackillican on the phone.

The Belgian option isn't feasible -although it sounds a good quality.
