I just got an Alfa r36. I want to keep the 240v option, but need a 2nd lead to wire into the boat electrics.

Anyone got any links for one, or maybe the bits to make one.

Maplins will have the plug, it's 2.1mm/5.5mm or maybe a tiny bit shorter, but the 5.5 one fits.

Same size as a lot of cctv power which might be easier if you don't want to do a fiddly Solder. Mines been fine straight off the boat batts but if you want stabilised power something like this is dead handy on the boat...

Hunt around on ebay there will be a UK supplier. Also, maplins do a 1A self reseting fuse to keep the magic smoke inside if you get it wrong.

Edit - I have a few of these ones...

I bought the Maplins plug and associated cable (just two core wire with a socket on the end to take the plug). Wired it direct (via breaker) to the boat electrics. Have had it wired up for a year now and not had any problems. Seems to have coped fine with voltage fluctuations on the boat.
