Before my computer crashed, I had a web link to a site which enabled easy measuring of distances on the earth's surface. Does anyone have the link please?
Sorry to be picky, but the first suggestion requires a download, and the second frightens the living daylights out of me!
What I was after was a website which enables you to enter two places e.g. New York and San Francisco, and gives an "as the crow flies" distance. I know this site exists as I've used it in the past, and I'm pretty sure I first found reference to it on this forum.
That's the problem in a nutshell, Brendan. On Autoroute, Bideford to Swansea is 174 miles. I wondered, as I drove this last week, how much shorter it would be to nip across the Bristol Channel by boat.
And I don't have GPS.
