For a model boat perhaps. That prop is 14inchI see a perfectly good anchor there.

My crystal ball is suggesting sending the prop to Steel Developments.

Mine is saying...eeek! don't worry about the prop worry about the shaft and gear casing!
So maybe yes....The whole engine would make a suitable anchor!

Sometimes it is cheaper overall to ignore by offseting servicing costs against a new engine every now and then. You may even be able to recoup more by selling on ebay.

This is just the outdrive I've been on about. Thankfully the engine is inside the boat. Here's one of the same area with the new anode fitted
There is some evidence of reaction inside the hub, but its only on the oil seal housing, which is replaceable.
