I intend to live until I can\'t.

Which is why we bought Full Circle, just to ensure that we have jam today.

Get out there and live.

My Dad said so. It would have been his birthday tomorrow, and he has been gone 10 years.

Hurrah for life.

PS Tillergirl: Sort out the nuptial anniversary in proper style you skinflint, or no jam tomorrow for you.

Couldn't agree more, get out and enjoy life to its fullest, you only get one chance to get it right or wrong, so whichever way you go, enjoy it and be happy, we certainly try to.

Second that too, right old skinflint, treat her right, treat her good. Treat her like a lady, and any other musical interludes you can think of /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: I intend to live until I can\'t.

That's it, blame this lot why don't you /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Nothing to do with anything else I take it ? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Re: I intend to live until I can\'t.

Nothing to do with the fact that I produce the food, do the washing up, do the sailing and generally wait hand and foot /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
Apart from the odd slip up (parking a bit early on mud, unexpectedly demonstrating the benefits of gusting 40 knots) I'm not doing too badly so far /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Re: I intend to live until I can\'t.

Hang on, hang on. It's MY anniversary as well. I've worked like a dog for years to keep us clothed and fed and to afford the alarm clock to wake the kids so they can get out to work on time. I have worked so hard that I shall probably be the first to turn up my toes. Why can't I DO NOTHING or GO TO THE BOAT? Why is it always me that has to do this? Doesn't she know how lucky she is to have me? I could have had my pick you know. I wasn't always like this.....

We hope you enjoy it for many many years Jim. Unfortunately for some Jam comes in different flavours and more than one flavour per household. Gardening jam ain't half as nice as sailing jam /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Re: I intend to live until I can\'t.

Then of course, there is another type of jam completely, Marmite, now if I had the choice between Marmite and jam, Marmite would have to be the clear winner. Proving that in life, not everyone likes the same kind of jam at all. What is jam to one is actually a non appealing option. Sailing off for weeks on end without spotting land once, to some is the perfect jam, but others prefer to see land almost every day.
Marmite. Jam. Both the same, but different.

How long have you been married? Andy you STILL need to ask that!
Remember on that day when you said 'I do' you were only there to make up the numbers - it was HER day as it has been every day since! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gifWe've Lasted 22 years so far but my SWMBO forgets the anniversary each year and I always do the card / flowers thing - OK not to the style of Mr FC but then he is a newly wed /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Congrats by the way! How much of a life sentence is served before getting parole these days? /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Re: I intend to live until I can\'t.

Re: I intend to live until I can\'t.

as this thread has decended into the bilges of relationships /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
i would like to blow a trumpet on behalf of swimbo.

Last month swimbo decided to look for another job,so did a few of her co workers, she was the only one to even get an interview,of the three jobs swimbo has recieved in writing offers of senior management positions with all three companys.

If she hits the numbers and i see no reason why swimbo should be able to buy me a new boat in a couple of years,so i informed her as much and she said mmm well maybee /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

swimbos title is generally senior accounts manager for software companys

the little lady sure did get lucky when she met me /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Re: I intend to live until I can\'t.

You can't beat a wife like that - well, you can but I don't think you'll remain married for a long time.

After years of encouragement, tutoring and general loving and caring support; I'm finally getting a return upon my investment.
We live on what she makes, what I make goes towards the boat.
It's only fair.

Re: I intend to live until I can\'t.

When I was in the newsagents buying an anni card this morning - and the lady correctly identified that this was panic buying - I was aksed how long. 39 says I. You can't be married that long, you're too young. Have I pulled? It's been a while, I'm not sure of the signs.....

Re: I intend to live until I can\'t.

Well, I reckon I'm the luckiest man alive. Not only am I married to the most fantastic person, she also forgot out first anniversay. I reckon that gives me free licence to forget for the rest of my life. For the following 15 years we have both forgotten.

Nor does she do Valentines day.

Every day is to be celebrated, not just one in 365.

Having said that, I've just bought her birthday present. £139 for a duvet cover and two pillow cases. And that's half price!!! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
