There seems to be an increasing amount of crime in Pwllheli/Abersoch of late. We have had two fenders go walkies and our new nwighbours in the marina had six (!) stolen last week. Irritating.

Also in Abersoch we had several potted plants stolen from the patio over winter, in addition to them actually moving the shed in their luckily thwarted attempts to break into it.

All seems a far cry even from about 5 years ago when, after about 7 hours out on the boat, I could not find my car keys anywhere. I walked up to the car only to find them still in the outside doorlock. The car was parked on the road as opposed to the car park and had not been touched - amazing. It wouldn't have lasted 5 minutes like that in London, and I doubt it would last now in Wales.

Actually, as we we rounding Bardsey earlier on in the afternoon we decided to play a quiz game we have on board for such quiet moments.

The answer to one of the questions which went something like 'the book Watership Down is based on which type of animal?'

The answer well just slipped out before I had chance to think about it, the last time I said that word on board the dog fell over the side! There must be something in it....
