We are trying to sort out a Marine S6 perkins and have had a few problems.
The newest and most pressing problem is a crack near the valve seat on the head.Is there any one in South who is into these engines or can do this type of repair.

Also we wish to add a heat exchanger to the engine to have a secondary system for raw water cooling to save the engine in the future from salt water errosion .as usual any HHHHHHelp.

Not sure where you are in the south but Saunders Engineering of Cadnam are very good at this sort of thing, they have been doing it for 40 odd years. Easy access of M27 too. think they might be called Saunders Motor Works.

In terms of adding a heat exchanger talk to someone like Lancing Marine or ASAP.

If you are doing that it would be a good idea to bring the exhaust manifold into the fresh water loop if you can, its a common mod on Perkins 6.354s.

I can't help with an engineering company where you are for the head... but its a routine job for car restorers.
Another suggestion for the heat exchanger is Woods of Crediton who normally have a selection on their website which is a treasure store for all sorts of kit.
