I have posted previously about what appeared to be a slight leak. I couldn't work out just whether it was a leaky cover or a leaky boat - but my answer was delivered this weekend...

Got to my boat on Saturday morning and thought "hmmmm - sitting a little low in the water!" Got on board to find a fair bit of water (salt water at that) in the bilges. It took 10 minutes for my two 500gph pumps to pump it all out. And before you say "should have left one battery on for the auto bilge pump to deal with it" - I did, and it worked the pump so much that the battery was flat inside a week!!

So... get the engineer down to inspect, and it looks like a cracked, or disloged cowhorn on my starboard motor.

Here I am again, having motored round to Pwllheli, the boat is now out on a huge trailer and on Monday, out comes the stbd motor and in goes my hand into my wallet. Does it ever get easier???

Anyway, while its out, I'll get GRProClean to clean it for me, and I'll have other stuff done also. Think I'll have next Friday off to go over and anti-foul it.
