Returned to boat moored in Chich Marina after a week and found that a visitor who had moored in the next slot had stubbed several fag ends out on my deck fittings and thrown the half extinguished buts onto the foredeck.
Fortunately the only damage was easily removed charing of the gelcoat but what if the fire had spread, we had over a hundred gallons of petrol on board....
