Hi All folowing a recent post I decided to bite the bullet and do my shore power.Bought all the stuff, kitchen foil paper clips vasaline etc.connected up all 15 x100w halogen lamps 2optional inspection lamps looped it all back round the mast(this wasjust to isolate during a lightening strike) and super glued the lot to my consumer unit obviously it tripped when i switched it on,I scratched my head for a while until i gave up and stuck a 6" nail in place of the circuit breaker, hay presto bloody brilliant. Will need a welding mask just to take the glare of.Well that was one circuit taken care of.I then wired up the the sockets (via all the anodes just to be sure)including a line to the battery just so i could use the galvonic isolator finishing of earthed to the hand rail. The marina lights did dim and there was a loud hummmmmmmmmmming when I turned them on but my neighbours boatsdidn't dissolved or sink so all in all a nice little job done.;)

I did notice that the pontoon you are on is the only one with no ice on the woodwork this morning. Makes a great difference; much much safer. - many thanks
