After two years of thinking, it would be mad, I have a boat, I don't need another one, I went and bought the attached

Picked her from Dawlish yesterday, sweet DT85 Suzuki with power trim and tilt, starts easily first time from stone cold, and nice and retro looking, comfy seats, a little cosmetic tidying to do but sound. Trailored her to Poole, nice solid trailor, and dropped her in the water at Cobbs Key, back down today to have a play :-)

There is a mathematical formula for the correct number of boats;

C=N+1

Where C= the correct number of boats & N= the number you already have.

I am currently seeking my 7th. but I have passed a few on recently so the fleet has actually shrunk.

Today was test day

We went down to poole today and the new toy started first turn of the key, loaded wife, 12 year old and new co-boat owners Mark and Becci onto the "yet to be named toy" weather was err chilly and windy. Luckily for not much sea experience Nick, Mark is a qualified skipper, ex RNLI man and did the Arc race in 2008 and has owned just about every type of boat imaginable. So I am learning new skills, charts and tides and hell there is a lot to learn.

We had a great few hours pottering around the harbour and a blast on the water SKi area. She does 50 MPH but today a quick blast on the Ski area saw us hit 30, how quick does that feel on water :-)

Stopped for lunch at Poole Quay, a nice cheap pub lunch and back to the Launch site to pull her out of the water, came out like a dream. Think I will enjoy the new toy, best of both worlds, beautiful Thames River on the Birchwood, sedate and charming and beaches and sea and speed on (Suggestions Welcome) . I feel a very very lucky man. Even more so that as we are sharing her everything is half price :-)

Nick
