Must be the rain of late that has caused me to spend to many hours looking at boats on the web and thinking up ways to cheer myself up.
Managed to convince myself that the Cruiser, 270 Airdeck Dinghy and Kyak did not give me enough opportunity to get on the water.
What we need I mused is a fibreglass dinghy, old and cheap that we can leave on the mooring, save taking the airdeck up and down in the car (no davits), inflating it etc. Hmmm thats what we need.
Spent a few weeks monitoring ebay and was horrified at the prices small dinghys were reaching Eventually bid on one that looked tatty enough not to be attractive and cheap enough that I might win and close enough that I could transport it. The result under £60.00 was
Now there is only one problem, the 4hp Mariner great on the airdeck is a tad to powerfull and heavy for my new toy. Even oldest he who fears nothing son looked suitably pale as the little boat took off. So my bargin tender now means I need to buy a 2 or 2.5hp outboard. SWMBO is not happy lol. Also how can I resist a little refurbishment, paint, remove and refit seats hmmmmm
Also Hi to BoatOne who I saw yesterday as I sat on the mooring contemplating the refurbishment over a beer, thanks for the shout Tony sorry my wave was a little delayed /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
