For anyone intterested, I noticed an early Hydrovane for sale on eBay, requiring some work but currently only priced at £50 with 6 days to run. Absolutely nothing to do with me - I don’t rate Hydrovanes but I know others do, so thought I’d mention it!

Great bits of kit - as long as you can set your boat and sails up properly...

If I was in the market for one again I’d need to know what boat it was off as there are a lot of variables there..

I see it went for 560UKP plus collection/transport costs which is probably still cheap when a new one is approaching 4500

I wonder if it is correctly sized for the boat it is going on?

Actually, having looked at the condition of it I am glad I did not bid for it.
