do you have to drill in to the anti cavitation plate to attach hydrofoils? and if you do will it lose your warranty? i have just purchased some and i just rememberd that it may void the warranty any help here guys.

Yes, you have to drill the cavitation plate. Why would holes in a dumb bit of aluminium void your warranty? If worried get the dealer to fit them.
 
I said why should it, not it wont invalidate your warranty, check with your dealer and as I said, maybe have him fit it.
 
A few years ago the dealer sold me a new engine and hydrofoil. Told me if I fitted it it would invalidate the warranty of the manufacturer, but he would happily underwite it as he saw no problem with it as long as I took it back to him to fix. 6 years on still no problems and that is why I bought a Yamaha!
