Hi,

I have a Quicksilver 500 Pilothouse with a Mariner 50 HP EFI outboard. I am trying to identify the hydraulic steering cylinder of the unit in photos attached in oder to replace the glands/seals? Unfortunately identifying features such as serial and model, have deteriorated. The helm wheel unit is 'Baystar HH4314' manufactured by Teleflex so it may have come as part of a kit.

Any information would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Hydraulic techs sometimes seem to operate on a masonic basis, the quickest fix may be to remove the ram and give it to the local hydraulic specialist for seal replacement.

I was given the company named Hypromarine who might be able to help, so contacted them with the details. As mentioned above I'll remove and try a hydraulic company somewhere in the North (Ireland).

Thanks for the input folks.

Any contact details for Baystar? appreciated

Cheers

Harry
