Hydraulic fluids, how often do you check?

OD trim pump fluid level should be easy to check as the container is transparent.
It shouldn't need topping up unless the trim rams are leaking.

Reverse gear? This would only be on a KAMD44EDC with shaft drive.
There is no way of checking the outdrive oil level without lifting the boat out.

It's all working just fine, so how often do you guys check these fluids ?
I had to fit a new trim pump earlier this year , therefore new fluid. I am thinking I should renew the fluid in the other pump - which may easily be as old as the boat = 14 years.
Fortunately in my case the trim pumps are relatively easily accessible so the fluid level gets a visual check at each engine bay inspection.
I haven't read anywhere about frequency of oil changes but perhaps every few years might be a god plan. A litre of ATF was sufficient for one leg.
