I have a Kelvin Hughes Husun 70 VHF radio that has developed a fault. I believe that the EPROM has lost its memory and requires reprogramming. I have been unable to find a repairer who has the necessary information or software to fix it. Does anyone know who actually made these sets for Kelvin Hiughes or who can service them. Even though it may not be cost effective I really do not want to go along the 'new DSC set' route.

If IRRC that Husun radio was one of the better ones around.

Its worth having a go a getting it repaired IMO

There used to be someone advertising repairs to "most makes" in the small ads in PBO.

I dont buy the magazine now so cannot check recent issues.

These guys at least used to do the Husun Radios, but it was some years ago that I bought a handset from them. Worth a phone call?
