has any one used double lipped input and output shaft seals on a 150 hurth gearbox I'm unsure if they were meant to be originally

the input seal size is 30 x 52 x 7 the output size is 40 x 52 x 7
I'm thinking about it as I need to renew the output seal on my box so I'll change the bearings as well as the input seal

Therer's an original output seal on ebay sleemans are selling at £20 how ever when you consider how old the seal may be, I dont think its worth the risk ( they harden with age even with out being in contact with oil )

http://simplybearings.co.uk/ have both the seals in stock

for any one needing a manual heres a linc to a guy who did a strip down and put the info on as well https://sites.google.com/site/hbw150rebuild/home/parts

cheers
mick

two is better than one, my thinking is it is also about trying to keep moisture out.
