Hurth gear box problems

Please can you help me, I am having problems with my Hurth gear box KM2A fitted to a yanmar 1GM7. The problem is that when accelarating intermittently there are serious vibrations which can only be rectified by turning the engine off and re-starting. The alignment between the gearbox and engine is correct.

Have you checked the shaft alignment with the box and the condition of the engine mounts. Also why do you think it the gearbox causing the vibration. your own tempory solution of switching off the engine could indicate an engine problem.

P.S. I forgot, want condtion is the thust plate in. I had a vibe problem once that ended up being the plate in it's last days

thanks for your suggestions, we have checked the engine alignment, the engine is in good condition and the engine mounts are new. Do you know where I may get a gearbox manual or drawings, etc..

Does it shiow the same problem when going astern?
