Hi all,
I've fitted a second hand hurst gearbox to my nanni kubota engine. It selects forward and reverse gears perfectly before the gear box housing is fully tightened to the engine. On the last couple of turns of the 10 housing bolts, the main shaft of the engine locks up solid, thereby making the flywheeel impossible to turn.
We have tried shortening the male shaft between the gearbox and the engine because this was longer than the previous shaft on our old gearbox (which is the same make and model gearbox as the new one we're fitting). This hasn't resolved the problem.
Does anyone have any ideas/experienced the same problem? All suggestions appreciated!
