Hurricane Lamp as Anchor Light?

[ QUOTE ]
By the way, found another supplier for that lamp

[/ QUOTE ] Dont forget to look at the P&P chages and minimum order values. Worth checking out the local camping suppliers.

Annoying that it takes 3 AA if you are going to use rechageables as chargers usually take 2 or 4 at a time.

Why not get a proper oil fired copper anchor light, complete with dioptic lense?......will burn for eight hours or more, and can be seen at about 3-5 miles, depending on the size of the wick.

yes, we got one of these of eBay. It is fantastic. I am not sure how far you can see it, but I have looked at it over a mile away and it seems very bright. It is amazing how effective the lens is. It last well over 12h and looks nice below when not in use! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
