The east coast weather has been lovely all this last week.
We had a great weekend onboard. Went for a misty walk at 0530 at the rocks, tacked up the river and broad reached back and got a coat of varnish on.
Sometimes we moan about this and that and forget to celebrate when it has been good. Reminded me of last june - our caribbean home!
More weahter like this please.

We were out yesterday going round in circles getting compass swung. Like a pond, great fun. Taking a load of kids out to see the seals today, but watch out as they may let me have a go at the wheel /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Yep Last week was excellent apart for the boat being in the yard, however a cheap summer lift out last friday followed by 3 days polishing the hull sand blasted bottom making and fitting brackets to secure a loose and rattly P bracket primer and anti foul (2 coats of each) and back in the water on the morning tide on monday, Yeah i was a lovely week.

Only the sails to come back from Dolphin in Harwich great plank of teak on its way from Brook bros. in Maldon for cockpit seating polish topsides oh and a new spray hood

My god boating is so much fun

this was supposed to be a moan-free post where we all revelled in the "pleasure" of Yotting. Oh, dear. As we're metioning it, I've got to haul out next week and lose 2 weeks to repair a rotten piece of deadwood. Wish me luck that there's no more lurking underneath...

Just back from a week of very basic camping - tent in a field - hole in ground type toilets with the Sea Scout group on the Norfolk Broads.

13 Scouts - 6 Toppers, 1 Bosun, 1 GP14, 1 Enterprise, Kayaks and safety boat.

On water every day except 1 - inter watch cooking competition to create a 3 course meal for 4 or 5 in watch with £10 and cooking over an open fire / mud oven.

After a week in a tent I ache like mad and slept for 11 hours last night but yes it was good fun to return 13 kids exhausted to their parents.
