No official information from the EA but heard this morning that emergency repairs at Hurley lock have been completed ahead of expectations and the lock is now open again.

Seems to me that in spite of all the modern communications at our disposal, instead of being better informed about everything we are becoming less well informed about anything !
Hurley is shown on the EA Closures and Restrictions webpage as being closed from 10 March 2014 to 28 March 2014 for Emergency repairs to the sluices. We were first made aware of it in a Winter Works notice dated 13th February when it was scheduled for 24 February 2014 to 21 March 2014.

Difficult enough to get anything new posted or updated now but I'm not holding my breath expecting it to improve.
