Yet again the longest thread is a hunting related one.

Wot the f has this to do with boating/sailing/enjoyment of the sea? Please go elsewhere to debate this now boring issue! I'm fed up tothe back teeth of hearing about it where ever I look or listen!!! Rant over!

There were too many replies for me to read them all, but the chief concern appeared to be that after hunting where will this lot turn its gaze next? It seems to be able to ride rough shod (pardon the horsey metaphor) over all and sundry. Our turn next? They've already started, so be prepared.

It would be OK if people would debate and learn, but it seems more about people taking their usual stance on the issue, and defending it with the same old cliched arguements.

Well its good to see this Government has its priorities right, an illegal war, smoking and hunting bans.
When we have all retired with worthless pensions, we will be really thankful they had our best interests at heart.

Er, I presume you couldn't be the obstinate one who's not prepared to change thier mind then? NOooo 'course not, because you are right arn't you? If you can't get it quietly and democratically attack everyone and everything until you get your own way and call it democracy anyway. As someone who lives in a big city and doesn't give a toss about who's right and who's not it seems to me to be that most of the nastyness has come from the "ban-it" rabble who think physical attacks on people and other innocent animals is the right way to go and very few of them come from 'well bred country' living, seems all they've just got is a bee in thier bonnet about what they think the rich should and should not do, you know Socialism at work. I think not. The 'so-called' rights of the animals have been long forgotten and they are precisely that ANIMALS. For hunting, sport, eating etc. Lower down the order and all that whether you believe in God or Evolution it still comes out the same way. And what's your answer to slaughtering thousands of unemployed dogs? Are You gonna take a few in and feed and care for 'em. No 'cause you're not that's somebody else's resposibility isn't it. Bloody typical.

Oh my gosh!

LongJohnsilver starts a thread saying (rightly in my view) that he finds the hunting issue boring. Fatipa makes a tongue in cheek remark and we get this.

Do us a favour a keep it on the hunting thread, where we can ignore it.

The calm voice of sanity amidst the frothing rabble - you get my vote. I'd ignore Althorne if I were you though, I think he's lost it!

Re: The Liberal guy

the one who sounds like a prosthetic oil exporter, Limb bit OPEC, or something thinks that we could all be in a bit of trouble.

His example. The RSPCA get the word that you have a dead mouse in your garden. You have to prove your cat killed it. If you can't and your dog killed it you get to meet the judge. You could do time. Using me mates Jack Russel to get the rats out from under the shed is begining to look a bit risky.

Quite right too Joe. Just goes to show how people can get caught up into something they don't really have an interest in but keep getting in the ear from all directions for too long. It's just very sad that the whole country finds the most important thing it can concern itself with bloody vermin.
My apologise for the rant..........but I do feel better now.

Yup .. if the bloody house of lords had any constitutional value it would have made a fuss about Iraq, Butler etc etc but the only thing its got stressed out about is bloody hunting ... blatant display of its value and the value of those therein!

I've said it all before. But can we not just get rid of the MP's and PM's and have Richard and Judy doing a presentation and a button to press, Yes/No then we could pass our own laws. We might not do much better, but at least it would be demacratic and a bloody sight cheaper. Dam sight easier to. Now who's having speed cameras.

Well some one might be able to make it work!!
