Humber 38

Just bought a Humber 38.
Has anybody out ther know where I can get hold of things like electrical diagrams etc for the boat. Have tried Pearls but no luck

I can't help with your enquiry but I do like the look of the Humber 38. How do you find it with regards to comfort and sea keeping. Just out of interest is yours the one advertised by Paul Hadley boat sales?

Yep thats the one.
So far the sea keeping has been fantastic. The delivery trip to Brighton and the odd times we've put our nose out this last few weeks the weather has been between 4 & 6 with some holes around and she'll still keeps up a good 18 Knots without getting wet on the flybridge.
The only problem now is that working keeps getting in the way of playtime.

Why the hell they built them in Barnsley I don't know. What I do know is that Fred Bookers cabinet makers produced some of the finest interiors you'll find.

Sweet irony - watching luxury motor yachts trundle out of the sheds across the road from Dodworth pit top.

Fred Bookers (Builders) are still in Barnsley, his son ran the boat building side, and 192 should put you in touch.

I think they still have records.

I looked at her as well! She was just a little bit more than I could afford. Once you've polished the hull and superstructure she'll look great.
