The stain I posted about earlier is now (almost) gone. It turns out perseverance was the answer, as some had suggested. Thanks for all replies.

Oxalic acid in warm water 20% mix. Repeated applications. The last bit did it.

Rec mix with wallpaper paste to hold the mix in position it does its work better!:encouragement:
