Hull shot blasting Sussex

Does anyone know of a firm with Marine experience in the Sussex area? I can find plenty of companies that do shot blasting work but not sure whether they have ever been near a grp hull. If you are connected with such a firm feel free to respond so long as I know there is a connection then quite happy to start talking.

I wouldn't use shot blasting on a GRP hull. Slurry or soda, but not shot.

Tony (Larkin Marine) who operates (mobile) from near Brighton Marina. Dry grit (Olivine) blasting. Very experienced, very good, not expensive. Blasted 15 years of hard antifoul off my hull, left it with just the odd smear to finish by hand and a lovely surface for Jotun Vinyguard primer.

I have tried Google, got lots of companies but none list any marine experience, doesn't mean they don't have any but makes it hard to tell.

I will of course go for slurry blasting rather than shot!

Will try to track down Tony of Larkin Marine, thanks for suggestion!

Try www.symblast.com based in Dorset by covers the whole of the South Coast. Very competitive and will do a good job for you.

seem to remember seeing in window of percy m see chandlers (luke and james) at fareham an advert for blasting that seemed very inexpensive - might be worth giving them a call to see if the advert is still there and if they know the people involved - Luke and James very helpful
