hi all,
we need a skipper to sail our power boat from hull marina to ipswich marina in the next 5 days.we dont have enough experiance to cover all the trip although we could manage lowestoft to ipswich.
she has twin 250 hp hino engines and is 45footer with planning hull.
just serviced.
any takers

James, it isn't too bad a trip. The difficult bits are the humber mouth (dodge shipping), and watching for fishing floats.

Fuel is actually the hardest thing to work out, you need to take spare and I guess with such big engines you'll end up refueling.

I did it last year in a slow (by your standards) barge, from London to Grimsby. Took Sat lunchtime til Mon morn, 7am. That's on a boat with a cruising speed of 7knots.

yes the fuel is not i problem i think, 300 gallons it says here.just a weather window. i can so so much but just need the confidence i feel.
end up doing it myself in the end.
ta again.
