Hull ID Number

Hi all, hoping someone here will be able to advise me where I'll find the hull ID Number on a wee Fletcher Arrow. I've had a look but so far cannot find it. Any advise would be much appreciated.....

There should be a black square rivited to the dash which has a number stamped on it, its about 2" square. Failing that there is a hidden one as a last resort.

try looking on the transom, usually small letters and numbers, that's where it was on my old Flipper!

Had a good look all over the dash and transom, in fact all over the whole boat but still can't find it. There's some black rubber, innertube type stuff stuck over the dash, I've even peeled this off. I'm about stuck now, need to find it for the insurance!

I am puzzled as to why you should need an ID number for the insurance.
Is there something special about it? Dont think Ive ever been asked for such a thing by insurers.....type of boat/hull material/legnth/breadth/depth etc etc but never a hull ID number.

AHA! I'll give the insurer a ring tomorrow and ask if its strictly necessary. I just assumed it was as it was requested on the proposal form. Cheers peoples.....
