Hi Gents

I had an e-mail from one of our group members who has just bought a Colvic Watson 25'-6", his question is what is this outlet/skin fitting for,
I have not seen one before and have also asked him where the pipework inside leeds to.

Anyone know what is it? is that a flap? does it turn? what's the arrow for? I wonder if it is to a anti syphon?

Maybe a breather for the holding tank? If so, the "flap" in the middle is probably fixed, with the air escaping around the aft edge of it. This design helps to prevent water flooding in when heeled and moving forward, a bit like a self-bailer in a dinghy - my breathers work this way although they're not identical to that one. The arrow also supports this idea - it would indicate which way round to mount the fitting, with the arrow pointing forward (but in this case has been mounted a little wrongly).
