Does anyone see a problem with using GOJO to clean my hull.
Its out of the lake after a few months in there, and its got a very crusty green/brown crud layer over the bottom.

I tried Gojo on a small section and it worked great, just wondered if it might be a little too abrasive although it didnt seem to scratch it any.

Dont know if they have it in the UK but its an orange pumice liquid mainly used by mechanics to get oil off their hands

Use a light acid cleaner. In Spain we use a product called Sumascale which is generaly used to clean electric elements in boilers, kettles and the like. I have heard that in the UK similar products can be bought from such as a builders mercants. dilute and wash on then rinse off with loads of water. this is also good for stripping the old polish away before re polishing the hull.

It wont damage the hull but always try a test area first. I find that once aplied the grime just softens them comes away with the rince off.

Hope this helps.
