I am considering using the Farrow System for cleaning the Anti-Fouling from the underside of my GRP yacht. This seems like a very effective way of stripping off all the old layers.
Has anyone else used the Farrow System?
or Heard any reports ( good or bad )

Is that the system using soda? If so someone here used it recently and seemed very pleased with the results.

Yes - I have!

I used it the first time I came to re-antifoul after buying my current boat. I was unsure how many layers of old stuff was on there, so thought I'd get all the hard work done for me! It cost about £350 for my 25' long-keel boat and took a few hours to do. It certainly got it all off and left a very good "keyed" surface ready for the new antifoul. It is a VERY messy process which caused concern to the marina staff and embarrassment to me as nearby boats changed colour. If you go ahead, insist that the operator erects a tarpaulin "wall" to shield any other boats.

Cheers,

Jerry
