I would like to clean my boat's hull by means of soda blasting to remove old anti foul and expose some osmosis damage. The hull has been epoxied from new but I expect that most of the epoxy coat will have been destroyed over the last 22 years.

I would like to hear from people who have used this process and may be able to recommend an operator in the Humber area.

We had the boat done over the winter, not so much for Osmosis - there was none, but because of a recurring problem with rust on the keels. The job was done by Marine Blast of the Holy Loch - they have a web site and the hull looks terrific.

Unfortunately there is a slight blush of rust at the worse part of the starboard inner keel even though it was treated immediately. However Ian, the guy who runs the company is meeting me next week to look at it and says that if it needs to be re-done, it will be.
