I've just bought a boat with the shore power fed in via a 30A 110V Hubbell Twist and Lock metal socket. This is not compatible with British marine systems and so I must change the socket. Does any one know which pins are used for Live Neutral and Earth.
Thanks for all help offered.

Both Mannings (UK) and Aquafax (UK) supply Hubbell plugs and sockets - I am sure there are a few more uk based suppliers in addition to them.

One thought though, does your boat have 110v or 240v appliances?

The one that looks like a 7 backwards is earth (ground) the wider of the other two is neutral (white).
Why not use this socket? You can get matching Marinco plugs in the UK.

Thanks John, Just the info I needed. I tried 3 chandlers yesterday and the best I was offered was a metal socket at£106.95 Plus Vat and a months delivery from the US. I need this tomorrow! This morning in the NW I found a plastic Marinco plug but it was missing vital parts but still cost £50. I will add the UK standard plug inside a locker for £8.99 and no holes in boat
