Heading to the boat tomorrow morning, hear that yellow boards are up at all locks, anyone give me an update on how the conditions are looking after the rain last few days?

The river was foul yesterday coming down from Byron's, it looked like they were really working on shifting as much as possible, it may have been up about 3 inches at Sonning but was quite manageable. The forecast is reasonable for the next few days I think.

thanks guys, fed up being trapped at home, was supposed to be on boat from Saturday but had to call off due to swmbo dislike of torrential rain lol. Still better a bad day on the boat than sitting looking out the window wondering

Lucky I popped down to do some fettling on Saturday night, as I left the entire sunroof open on our previous weekends trip /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Some kind soul had left a Bray burgee in the cockpit too! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

lol been there, done that and it rained, not nice

I am begining to think I should write this week off :-( Still I can always hope the red boards come down tomorrow and the sun will break through and all will be right with the world Lol

Left Byrons at 0815 this morning and now safely tucked up at Henley. Yellows all the way down but not too bad and certainly came down a lot quicker than I went up!
The weir stream added a little excitement as I came thru Sonning bridge and coming out of Marsh Lock had a certain piquancy !

Worst bit was tying up here at Henley as the stream really is running inside the island near`the Rowing Museum and the mooring rings are a bloody disgrace. If Henley BC want to charge £10 a night the least `they could do is put some decent mooring rings in.

Anyway, lockies reckon Reds are likely anytine and forecast toonight and tomorrow is heavy thunderstorms so........
