how's it looking for tomorrow?

It's going to be bright and sunny

Or wet and overcast

Hope that helps.

Do these people REALLY get paid?

I've always thought there can't be any truth in the theory about the powers of Extra Sensory Perception, or weather forecasters would be knobbled by thunderbolts all the time by p'd off sailors...:)

Am going to get up at 6 for the latest. Go or no go from home by 7. Go or no go at marina by 8.30. Able to turn back at river mouth around 9.30.

Got to be back by 3 so it's an early or nothing for us.

Up to 4 gusting 5 and dry ish and were happy.

More wind or wetter and were not.

Phill,

I've always thought coastal conditions are more dangerous than offshore; there's always the train home, and get the boat back another day...

Agreed. No heroics from our end. Note there are lots of no go points. I only live 15 mins from the boat do if it looks good then great, of not then its home again.

compared to yeasterday looks good up to about thursday, got the week off so loading up the boat today then fathers day lunch, back to the boat this evening then off monday am bound for fair dorset from pompey, maybe studland or swanage, weymouth or portland, back via poole and yarmouth or lymington to pompey by next saturday, aim to get as far west as i want early and work back so watch out for the floating greenhouse ie dabchick ( not really very elegant long keeler just happens to have the wheel house! come and say hello, will fly the forum burgee

Fantastic day out today. Only sailed around the north side of the east Solent, but it was great fun. Thank goodness for a good weather day on a weekend. Lets hope that its the start of summer (but I suspect its not :()

Yep, enjoyed today. I was a bit late setting off due to wine sampling last night. Still, had a few runs up and down the Swash Channel, a friend took some pictures from the chain ferry which I'm looking forward to seeing. Stopped at Shell Bay for lunch, then went exploring Poole Harbour. Very nice.
