I saw that (or it's twin) earlier this year in Poole. I was anchored at Arne, and it came in at dusk looking for a space to drop the hook....... and promptly ran aground! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Heres the piccie.......

Good to se the crew wearing lifejackets given the wild nature of the sea....... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Oh dear ljs, victoraspey is going to flame you for this. You should know by know that if God went motorboating, it would be in a cat

No wonder they ran aground. They've already scooped up some poor bugger in an inflatable.
I see these wonderful cats needs some fins on the bows to stop them digging in. You'd have thought that stairway would have provided enough bouyancy.

Re 'unbelievable fuel burn', these motor cats are extremely efficient due to their very skinny hulls having much less wave making resistance than a similar size monohull - their mpg is probably at least 2 or 3 times than a monohull (I picked up a copy of their catalogue at SBS - has lots of detailed info within).

I think that power cats (the generic name, not this type specifically) are the way to go in the future for most types of powerboats.
I will agree with everybody else on this thread though that the styling and lines of this Powercat could be improved.....

[/ QUOTE ]Oh dear, yes, but flaming deferred one suspects till just before LIBS. As Clarkson might say in his cheeky but honest non-PC manner "Yes economic maybe, but looking like that, not likely to snap knicker elastic at 50 paces, is it now?"
