How to warm mast?

Alloy mast on trestles outside.Day temps only about 11 degree. How can I get it warm enough to paint? Have a hot air gun.

I don't think you can without devising a tent and some serious hot air blown heating into the tent. Can you get it into a boat shed that's heated?

Can you remove the base and feed hot air up inside the mast.

This has to be the best method. Doubt if a hot air gun would provide enough heat, maybe a 2 kw fan heater with some ducting.
