Have some scratches ( not too deep though ) on a large perspex cockpit side panel window which are really irritating me. Do any readers know of a product that will take them out or at least reduce them without creating even more surface damage – thanks?

I think it may be hard work with a metal polish such as Brasso because it contains a relatively small amount of abrasive.

Something like the products on this page might be a better bet. http://shop.glidingshop.com/product_info.php?products_id=135

or the 4th item down on http://www.airworlduk.com/paints.html

or this http://www.afeonline.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=593

I like the idea of a two stage polish, first get the deeper scratches out then buff the whole lot up to look like new but if you've got the Brasso give it a try, its well known for polishing Perspex

Start off with 400 grade wet & dry - well wet, until you can't see where the scratch was.
Then T-cut on a J-cloth on a polishing disc rubber backing jobbie on a slow drill. Don't let it get hot!
I've used that method to grind and polish several thousand underwater TV camera correction ports over the years so I have tried most everything else! The first bit is the most important!
