I have a Hood Seafurl 3250 on both foresails but the forward one refuses to turn. The furling line chafed in a squall and I'm guessing (hoping) I got a riding turn inside the mech that's jammed which I can cut free. However I've never installed or taken off a drum before. Do I need to loosen the rigging, undo the stay and drop it down? Any pointers?

No need to slacken rigging or undo the stay with our Furlex. The drum is in two halves that clip/screw together and can be detached without difficulty. Make sure you put cords on each part to avoid them dropping into the water if you're afloat!
