Pray Sir do tell, what is the artists tool of choice for this shattering event?
Do you advocate the chisel and lumphammer over the vice grips, a modest little flamethrower or old fashioned diamond disc-cutter ?
I have had great success by immersing the reluctant object in about 60 metres of salt water..

Two large spanners, two blocks of wood, ultimately a hack-saw and a lot of bad language. Apparently Mercruiser put them on tight to stop them coming loose...yeah right...unbelievable pain in the arse!

Knowing the boat that you have I want to know how you get a pinewood table in the engine bay!! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

If you hadn't mentioned what exactly the picture is, I for one would not have guessed.

A most thorough job, Sir ! Gonna fit electronic ignition now ?

Well, it is electronic, rofl...so Mercruiser say, but I know what you mean. You see the silver "toothed" wheel. That passes through an electronic gate, well actually it just cuts the power to a particular spark plug, but they call it electronic. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I can tell you it's a swine to get off, so heads up to anyone doing it!
